Banghay Workshop Held

Tina Dedace, Banghay Patnubay sa Panginoon head writer,
leading a training session on the use of the Bible study guidebook.

Meditation on God's Word in CCT's weekly fellowship meetings is what makes CCT different from other NGOs in the Philippines. For 2012, the new Banghay Patnubay sa Pangangasiwa ng Fellowship Meeting, a Bible study guidebook  written with the aim of leading the community partners toward deeper spiritual understanding and a closer relationship with their Savior, will be used during the fellowship meetings.

Tina Dedace, the study guide's head writer, led an orientation workshop on the use of the book during the last  afternoon session of CCT's week-long 20th anniversary celebration in  Tagaytay in January. .

During breakout sessions, about 700 microfinance staff were asked to reflect on and share their answers to two questions:
  • What did you do to be a good facilitator (in 2011)?
  • What are the qualities of a good facilitator?
Afterward, each attendee was asked to share what he or she needs to improve on as personal application.

A kit of visual aids to be used with the banghay was given out during the workshop which was a fruitful time for the staff as they are now better equipped to lead fellowship meetings in their respective communities throughout the year.
